Keputih Social Lodge, Surabaya
Keputih Social Lodge is located at 32 Keputih Tegal, street, Surabaya. Founded in 1997 and is a shelter for homeless, beggars, displaced persons, and street children that are the result of police enforcement of the civil service. Social lodge is managed by Department of Social Welfare of Surabaya. The goal is to accommodate the homeless, beggars and displaced persons who subsequently given a guidance and provision of skills to be ready to plunge back into the community and no longer be occupants the street. There was also recovering from a mental disorder for the residents who were arrested in a state of stress or crazy.
Keputih Social Lodge consists of five barracks, A, B, C, D, and E. A is special barracks for men with psychiatric disorders (psychotic). The barracks condition is very poor. Besides dirty and smelly, also no longer able to accommodate residents who reached 350 people. Some are sleeping outside the room.
Barak B are occupied by women-psychotic. Condition B is inhabited barracks 300 people were also smelled the odor, room looks dirty. Even some occupants sleep in the bath area.

Barak C is devoted to female vagrants and beggars. There is a five-stall bathroom in this place. Barak Barak D and E are occupied by the elderly, mostly women and the conditions are not much different from the others.

For day-to-day, the residents received a number of training and perform activities such as sewing, farming, and praying, to improve the skills and abilities so that later when left Social lodge is no longer a vagrant or beggar.
